Holland-Cycling is a new English-language internet guide to cycling in the Netherlands

Holland-Cycling is aimed at foreign tourists and expats from all over the world who want to discover more about the unique Dutch cycling culture: by bike - or rather - with the recumbent.

The site offers, in English, practical information about planning the trip, tips & information, cycle routes and a view on the Dutch cycling culture. Photos are an integral part of the site, because a picture is worth more than a thousand words.

The makers of Holland-Cycling riders are enthusiastic recumbent riders, though you won’t find a lot on the site. It was a conscious choice: whether you’re cycling on a recumbent bike or a regular bike through Netherlands, the information needed on how to cycle in the Netherlands differs only in details. The important thing is to show that cycling in the Netherlands can be so much more than renting a bike for just a day in Amsterdam.

If Holland-Cycling is not specifically for recumbent bikers, why this message First of all, we want to show our recumbent acquaintances what we have been doing over the past year (all feedback is welcome). But - more importantly - we hope to communicate with the foreign recumbents, because we want them making use of our site.

Thus Hilary Staples editor of Holland-Cycling.

Enige achtergrond:
