In the attachments you can find instructions per race.
The assembly of the NVHPV has decide to abolish the mandatory use of a helmet for races organised by the NVHPV such as Cycle Vision. However these changes are not yet made in the racing ruls as published. Also in our rental contract with Midland a helmet is made mandatory. Therefore this year there still will be a mandatory use of helmets on the Midland circuit. For the one hour time trial on the RDW-track using a helmet is advised but not mandatory.
For every race you have to check in at a table. That table will be closed shortly before the race starts. No check in means no race.

See you at CV2012

Explanation of types of races:

Time trial:
A time trial is an individual race. It could be that multiple participants simultaneously riding a time trial, but drafting (riding close behind or beside each) is not allowed. Overtaking other participants should be done quickly.

Criterion:
A criterion is a race in which multiple participants simultaneously racing. Drafting (riding close behind or beside each) is permitted.

Specials criterion:
There are 3 races, rowing bike, tandem and velomobiles. The time is divided evenly between the different target groups who are 5 minutes apart.

1 hour time trial:
A time trial (an individual race) in which, for over 1 hour, should be done as many laps as possible. During the Cycle Vision the starting will be done with a mass start. All participants must line up before the start line and will be shot away by the starter. Once the hour is ended, the participants will be concluded at the finish. So keep on driving until you are stopped. The winner is the one who has covered the most laps in 1 hour. If multiple participants have completed the same number of laps, the time is important when this happens. Thus, first the completed distance is looked at and then required the time.

Criterion with preliminaries:
Some criterion races in which the fastest participants continue to the next round.

200m flying start:
A race in which the aim is to accomplish the 200 m in as little time as possible. The fastest wins the 200 m. You have the opportunity to take up speed, so you can be ride over the 200 m section at top speed.

50m drag race:
A sprint over 50 meters with a standing start. The fastest wins.

Important for racers
Register quickly because at June 17, 2012 at 00:00 a.m. the price, which now still applies for the registration, will be doubled. A too late subscription is to pay extra!
Also at the event itself, the increased price is used.

A nice addition, all participants who register until 17 June will receive a personified competition number. At the sticker on your bicycle will be next to the number your name. For the late-subscribers this is no longer possible, those get a competition number without a name. The competition numbers will be distributed this year in order of registration, if you have been quick signing up this year you have a low number…
